ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 2024, SIM K is a fashion label that creates unique contemporary denimwear (and not only), using sustainable design techniques. 1 of 1 pieces, limited edition prints or custom order, every garment or accessory is unique and made from reconstructed denim or deadstock fabrics. The designs explore well-known features of a pair of jeans and immerse them in an asymmetrical play of denim washes. Striking yet easy to style with existing pieces in your wardrobe, SIM K offers a sustainable alternative to superficial fast-fashion brands and suggests living authentically in your day-to-day life.
MEET THE DESIGNER
Simona Kyosovska holds a BA in Fashion Design from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, Italy, with her graduate collection being selected among TOP 10 in 2020. While gaining professional experience in several brands, in 2023 she becomes a semi-finalist in the prestigious sustainable fashion design competition Redress Design Award, being among the selected top 15 non-Asian young designers.
Afterwards, she decides to focus on her own brand SIM K – based in her home country Bulgaria. Combining her design language with the sustainability principles she feels many brands there lack, her aim is to change people’s perception of upcycling. The term is often associated with patchwork or garments with a “do it yourself” look and feel. However, good design and aesthetically pleasing pieces can also be achieved with sustainable techniques.
